Why we use PayPal
PayPal has an excellent reputation for keeping users' information secure and private. You know when you use PayPal that you're using a safe, reliable service. Because we use PayPal to conduct every transaction, we at Snow Lake Studios never see your credit or debit card information. We only see your shipping address. Why and how we use cookies
We use cookies to keep track of your shopping cart before you make a purchase. A cookie is a small bit of information kept on your hard drive to help our website remember what you've added to your cart. Many people can use our website at the same time. Without the cookie, it would be very difficult to keep track of each user's shopping cart. The cookie only contains the contents of your shopping cart, and an anonymous identifier; no personally identifiable information is stored in the cookie (in other words, if someone somehow got access to your cookie, they wouldn't be able to learn any information about you). Any cookie we store on your computer is safe and secure, and is only accessible by our own web site, and no one else.
Secure checkout- how we use PayPal
Prior to checkout, your shopping cart is transmitted normally using a cookie (see above). When you are ready to place an order and click the "Secure Check Out" button, a secure HTTPS connection is opened and the items in your shopping cart are transmitted directly to PayPal. After that, you are sent over to the PayPal site to take care of payment. The entire PayPal process is done over a secure SSL connection so that all your personal information is secure. Once you are done paying for your order, PayPal notifies us that an order has been placed.
